Remo North Local Government Area was created out from Ikenne Local Government in 1996 by the administration of Late Gen. Sani Abacha. This LGA is bounded to the East by ljebu North, to the South West lkenne and Obafemi/Owode Local Government, then to the North by Oyo State. Remo North LGA is richly endowed with large mineral deposit which serves as raw materials for various manufacturing industries.

Remo North LGA has several infrastructural development such as good roads, water supply and electricity; also blessed with mineral resources, arable lands and industrial developments.
