International Pollination Symposium

International Pollination Symposium is an agricultural event that encourages research on relationships between plants and all types of pollinators. It is organised by Turners Conferences & Conventions Pty Ltd and sponsored by the International Commission for Plant-Pollinator Relationships (ICPPR).

The 13th edition is scheduled for 16th - 20th October 2023 at Kirstenbosch Botanic Gardens, Cape Town, South Africa.

International Symposium on Pollination 2023 will create a better opportunity for biological scientists and agriculturists who wish to learn about pollinator behavior as well as ways of managing insect pollinators.

This conference will bring together gardeners & farmers, professionals in agricultural research, biological science areas, and plant management sectors among others from across African continents and the world, at large.  

It will feature teaching and learning sessions with the following topics that will be covered by keynote speakers:

• Studies of insect-pollinated plants
• Pollinator foraging behavior
• Effects of pollinator visits on plants
• Management and protection of insect pollinators
• Bee-collected materials (e.g. nectar and pollen) and products derived from plants and modified by bees.
