African Rail

Africa Rail is the largest and most established rail event in Africa, which was scheduled to be held at the Sandton Convention Centre in Johannesburg, South Africa, from 7th to 8th July 2026.

Themes: Strengthening regional trade through connectivity, upgrading existing networks, and promoting localization.

African Rail is the only African forum for maintenance and rehabilitation professionals.

It features best practices and pioneering case studies on maintaining, upgrading, and future-proofing aging rolling stock, infrastructure, track, and parkway; signalling technology; OHTE electrical and cabling equipment, and rail maintenance software and technology.

The summit will feature many representatives from government, freight rail operators and companies, large industry (i.e., mining and manufacturing), international organizations, and the private sector. It will also attract more than 200 participants.
