Business Information

Oyo State College of Nursing and Midwifery came into existence as a result of the merger of Oyo state school of Nursing, Eleyele, and Oyo State School of Midwifery, Yemetu in August 24th, 2005.

The Oyo state School of Nursing, Eleyele was formed in 1949 as the first nursing school in Nigeria, whereas the Oyo State School of Midwifery, Yemetu was formed in 1954.

The Oyo State College of Nursing and Midwifery is charged with the responsibility of training student nurses who in return offer nursing services at health care centers.

Academic Programs/admission
The college offers the following programmes;
1. Basic General Nursing
This is a 3 year academic program that qualifies the student nurses to be Registered Nurses (RN).

2. Basic Midwifery
This is a 3 year program that qualifies the student nurses to be Registered Midwifery (RM).

3. Post Basic Midwifery
