Ondo State Local Government Areas

Akoko North East Local Government Area is one of the eighteen serving local government councils of the state, domiciled in the town of Ikare, consisting the towns of Ikado, Okela, Okorun, Eshe, Odo, Ilepa, Okoja, Iku, Odeyare, Odoruwa, Okeruwa and others.

Akoko North West Local Government Area of Ondo State is located in the town of Okeagba, comprising the towns and villages of Iye, Ese, Okeagbe, Ikaram, Arigidi, Erusu, Ibaram, Iyani, Ase, Irun, Ogbagi Ajowa, Afin, Oyin, Eriti, Igasi forming the LGA.

Akoko South East Local Government Area is sited in the town of Isua which is made up of towns and villages of Akungba, Akunnu, Epinmi, Ipe, Ifira, Ipesi, Isua, Oba, Oka and Sosan making up the local government area.

Akoko South West Local Government Area has its administrative headquarters in the town of Oka, consisting the districts 8 villages of Akungba, Ikun, Oba, Oka, Okia, Korowa, Ikese, Iwonrin, Ebo, Ayegunle, Owalusin, Ayepe, Supare, Okela and Bolorunduro.

Akure North Local government Area is among the serving local government councils of the state which is located in Itagbolu town made up of the districts and communities of Akomowa, Agamo, Oke-Oore, Ayede, Ogbese, Ayetoro, Igbatoro, Igoba and others.

Akure South Local Government Area shares the town capital of Akure with the composition districts of Aponmu, Gbogi, Isikan, Ijomu, Obanla, Oda, Odopetu, Aro, Uro, Oke-Aro, Oshodi, Owode, Isolo and Imuagun.

Ese Odo Local Government Area is located in the town of Igbekebo with the districts and villages of Apoi, Arogbo, Babomi, Igbekebo, Inikorogha, Ukparama, Kiribo and Ojuala.

Idanre Local Government Area is noted for its famous tourist attraction because of Idanre hills and has its administrative headquarters in Owena consisting the towns of Ala-Elefosan, Alade, Atosin, Idole-lemikan, Idole-logbosere, Ijomu, Isurin and others.

Ifedore Local Government Area is sited in the town of Igbara-Oke with the towns of Igboko-Oke, Ijare, Ilara, Ipogun, Ibule, Isarun, Erigi, Obo, Ikota and Olo-Gbo.

Ilaje Local Government Area has its administrative headquarters in Igbokoda town with the districts of Aheri, Mahin, Etikan and Ugbo, the area is well known for its oil deposits and other mineral resources.

Ile Oluji/Okeigbo Local Government Area is located in the town of Ile-Oluji comprising the districts of Agunla, Bamkemo, Ileoluji, Okeigbo forming other villages and clans, making up the local government area.

Irele Local Government Area is located in Ode-Irele town and consists of the towns of Iyansan, Irele, Akotogbo, Ajagba and Omi.

Odigbo Local Government Area is in the town of Ore, the gateway to eastern states and this local government area is made up of districts of Ore, Oniparaga, Odigbo, Koseru, Ebijan, Ayesan, Araromi Obu, Ajue, Ago-Alaye and Agbagu.

Okitipupa Local Government Area is also in the town of Okitipupa and consists the districts of Okitipupa, Ode-Aye, Ilutitun, Ikoya, Oloto, Iju Odo, Erekiti, Igbatako and Erinje.

Ondo East Local Government Area is one of the serving local government councils in the state, it has its administrative headquarters in the town of Bolorunduro, which is made up of towns and villages of Asantan, Oja, Atua, Otansan, Igba and others.

Ondo West Local Government Area is a local government area of the state with its headquarters in the town of Ondo and the local government area consists the districts and villages of Enuowa, Obolalu, Ajagba Alafia, Gbaghengha, Gbongbo, Ifore and others.

Ose Local Government Area is sited in the town of Ifon and and the area is well known for its commercial production of cocoa and the districts of Idoani, Afo, Idogun, Ifon, Ijagba, Ikaro, Elegbeka, Imeri, Imoru, Arimogija, Okeluse and Ute made up the LGA.

Owo Local Government Area is also a notable council with headquarters in Owo town, its richness in cultural heritage and the districts and the communities of Igboroko, Ijebu, Iloro, Ehinogbe, Ipele, Isaipen, Isuada, Ipenmen, Idasan, Obasooto and others.
