Jigawa State Local Government Areas

Dutse Local Government Area is both a town and LGA headquarters consisting communities like Dutse, Duru, Dundubus, Jigwar Tsada, Kudia, Karnaya, Limawa, Madobi, Chamo, Abaya and Sakwaya.

Kazaure Local Government Area has its administrative headquarters in Kazaure town among other communities in Kazaure are Daba, Dabaza, Dandi, Gada, Kanti, Maradawa, Sabaru, Unguwar, Yamma and Ba'auzini.

Auyo Local Government Area is a town and LGA headquarters with the council area covering villages and communities of Auyo, Ayama, Ayan, Gamasarka, Gatafa, Kafur, Tsidir, Auyakayi, Unik and Gamafoi.

Babura Local Government Area is situated in town of Babura, as the area council is made Batali, Dorawa, Kanya, Gasakoh, Kyambo, Takwasa, lnsharuwa and Kazunzumi.

Birni Kudu Local Government Area is both a town and the LGA headquarters with the districts of Birni Kudu, Kangire, Kantoga, Kiyako, Kwangwara, Lafia, Sundimina, Surko, Unguwan'ya, Wurno and Yalwan Damai.

Birniwa Local Government Area of Jigawa is in the town of Birniwa, as districts of Batu, Brimiwa, Diginsa, Fagi, Kachallani, Karanka, Kazura, Matamu, Nguwa, Machinamari and Dangwaleri form the area council.

Buji Local Government Area has its administrative center in Gantsa town and the area council consists of Buji, Ahoto, Falageri, Gantsa, Churbun, Kawaya, Kukuma, Madabe, Tukur and Klelen kudu districts.

Gagarawa Local Government Area is a town and LGA headquarters as the area council is made up of other communities namely Gagarawa Gari Gagarawa, Tasha Garin, Chiroma Kare, Balatu, Madaka, Medu, Maiaduwa, Maikilili, Yalawa and Zarada.

Garki Local Government Area is situated also in the town of Garki, which consists of Buduru, Garki Doko, Gwarzon-Garki, Kanya, Kargo, Muku Rafin, Marke, Siyori and Kore districts.

Gumel Local Government Area has its administrative center in Gumen town comprising districts of Dan-Ama, Gumel, Balkamy, Danzomo, Garin Alhaji, Baikarya, Garin Gambo, Gusan, Hammado, Kofar Arewa, Zango and Kofar Yamma.

Guri Local Government Area has its headquarters in the town of Guri among other towns and villages like Abunabo, Guri, Dawa, Adiyani, Garbagal, Kadira, Lafiya, Musari, Matara-baba and Margadu.

Gwaram Local Government Area is sited in the town of Gwaram and the area council consists of Gwaram, Dingaya, Fagam, Basirka, Farin Dutse, Gwaram-Tsohuwa, Kwandiko, Maruta, Sara, Tsangarwa and Zandan Nagogo.

Gwiwa Local Government Area is situated in the town of Gwiwa, among other communities in Gwiwa area council are Dabi, Darina, Buntusu, Guntai, Gwiwa, Yola, Zaumar, Sainawa, Shafe and Korayel.

Hadejia Local Government Area is a town and LGA headquarters consisting districts of Kasuwar Kofa, Dubantu, Atafi, Majema, Matsaro Rumfa, Sabon-Garu, Yankoli, Yayari, Kasuwar Kuda, Gagulmari ,Gazulmari, Hadejia Jama, Kofar Arewa, Kofar Gabas and Makwalla.

Jahun Local Government Area has its headquarters located in Jahun town as the area council consists of other communities like Aujara, Gunka, Gauza Tazara, Harbo Sabuwa, Harbo-Tsohuwa, ldanuna, Jahun, Kale, Jabarna and Gangawa.

Kafin HausaLocal Government Area is located in Kafin town with the area council consisting of Jabo, Zago, Sarawa, Ruba, Majawa, Balangu, Kazalewa, Dumadumin Toka, Gafaya, Mezan and Kafin Hausa.

Kaugama Local Government Area is sited in Kaugama town and the area council comprises of Arbus, Kaugama, Askandu, Yalo, Marke, Jarkasa, Ja'e, Hadin, Unguwar Jibin, Dakaiyawa and Dabuwaran.

Kiri Kasama LGA counts as one of the serving twenty-seven LGAs in the state with its administrative capital in Kiri Kasamma town , among other communities making up the LGA includes Bulunchai Baturiya Gayin Kiri kasamma Madachi Tarabu, Tsheguwa etc.

Kiyawa Local Government Area is located in the town of Kiyawa and the area council is made up of Garko, Farke, Guruduba, Katanga, Katuka, Kiyawa, Kwanda, Maje, Tsurma, Andaza and Abalago communities.

Maigatari Local Government Area has its adminstrative quarters in Maigatari as the council area comprises of other communities namely Balarabe, Fulata, Dankumbo, Galadi, Jajeri, Madana, Maigatari Arewa, Kudu, Matoya, Turbus, and Kukayasku.

Malam Madori Local Government Area is a town and also a local government area headquarters which consists districts of Malam Madori, Dunari, Garin Gabas, Shaiya, Tonikutara, Fateka Akurya, Tagwaro and Tashena.

Miga Local Government Area is situated in the town of Miga as the area council is made up of Harbo, Hantsu, Koya, Sabon-Gari, takanebu, Sansani, Yanduna, Miga, Zareku, Tsakuwawa and Dangyatin.

Ringim Local Government Area is both a town and local government area adminstrative center, with its area council consisting of other communities like Sankara, Tofa, Karshi, Kyarama, Dabi, Chai-Chai, Kafin Babushe, Yandutshe, Ringim and Sintilmawa.

Roni Local Government Area has its headquarters sited in Roni town,as the area council is made up of districts like Baragumi, Dansure, Fara, Gora, Kwaita, Sankau, Tunas, Yanzaki, Zugai, Amaryawa and Roni.

Sule Tankarkar Local Government Area is situated in Sule Tankarkar as the areas council consists of Amanga, Dangwanki, Danladi, Danzomo, Jeke, Shabaru, Yandamo, Sule Tankarkar and Albasu.

Taura Local Government Area is domiciled in the town of Taura and the area council is made of Ajaura, Chukuto, Gujungu, Kiri, Maje, Taura, Majiya, Chakwaikwaiwa and Garin Yaya.

Yankwashi Local Government has its adminstrative center in the town of Yankwashi and the area council is made up of Yankwashi, Belas, Dawan-Gawo, Gurjiya, Gwarta, Kuda, Ringim, Karkarna, Achilafiya and Zunbumba.
